"Joy to the World" for Brass Trio is not a
stock arrangement copied from a classic hymnal. This interesting
arrangement was written specifically for this instrumentation, and it is
easy to hear what sets it apart from all the others. With
contrapuntal qualities evident throughout the music, and a rhythmic
theme that is woven into the piece, this work breathes new life to "Joy to the World"
yielding jubilant music with a sense of fanfare.
"Joy to the World" is appropriate for
musicians at advanced junior high level or higher. This work is
ideal for Christmas concerts, but can be played throughout the year in
the context of joy and thanksgiving.
