Eddie Lewis: Performer, composer, author, and teacher

Eddie Lewis is a Christian trumpet player who maintains a vibrant and stylistically diverse career as a freelance trumpet player in Houston, TX.  Lewis has composed over three hundred original works for various brass and jazz ensemble instrumentations, and does arranging and copy work for local Houston bands. Due to the ease of distribution through his website, Eddie’s compositions are now performed world-wide. He has also been active as a music educator for over twenty-five years: teaching private lessons, giving clinics and master classes, participating in workshops, and even teaching jazz improvisation as a class at Houston’s High School for the Performing and Visual Arts for five years.  Of the hundreds of trumpet students he has worked with over the years, many have gone on to become accomplished players themselves, performing professionally in capacities ranging from ska bands to national musical theater tours; from cruise ships to brass quintets.
